The international congress on the "700 Years of Ottoman Architecture / A Supra-National Heritage" which was programmed by the Chamber of Architects, member of the Union of Chambers of Architects and Engineers of Turkey, was realised between 25-27th November 1999 with the contribution of the Istanbul Technical University, which also provided the venue for the congress. The Greater Istanbul branch of the Chamber of Architects undertook all the administrative and preparatory activities.
